Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of headsets is a great opportunity for our students to focus in reading comprehension and can be an effective means of decreasing distractions in the classroom and allowing the kids to listen to music while working on a math problem. Students may use their headsets while working on their district Iready program Which requires them to practice on ELA and math lessons for 45 minutes.

Students will also be provided with special activities once a month where they are provided a safe space that infuses joy and wellness.

These activities comprise of painting on canvas, using music instruments and making of arts and craft. Students will get to participate with parents, teachers, and other students in an effort to build community and peer relationships.

During this festive period the resources provided for arts and craft and making allows students to be creative and resourceful. Though The school may be located in a low socio economic environment, they are still able to contribute to the festive period creating unique ornaments , Beads , Bracelets and earrings for their loved ones.
