This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Headphones are used daily for our students to get minutes on different learning platforms and to practice different literacy skills. The problem with headphones is they usually only last one school year. It has become a reoccurring back to school purchase for educators. With this project, it would fund headphones for an entire grade level for the school year.
Providing each student with their own headphones would be beneficial because each student would have a set to call their own.
Our students practice reading, speaking, and listening with their headphones all year. This is important for when our students who are served in our multiple language learners program go to take ACCESS testing, for they will be familiar with the headphones beforehand.
