My Students

My students are full of energy and love learning! We are practicing our math skills and learning new strategies every day in our guided math stations. We are always looking for new math games and exciting ways to practice these skills we will use for the rest of our lives. As a focus school for math improvement, I have designed lesson plans that provide individualized and small group instruction to best meet the needs of my students. The games and activities requested will enhance our math stations and make math engaging!

My students are becoming experts for the 21st century!

They come from a multitude of backgrounds and have a wide range of abilities. Our classroom is always buzzing with students critically thinking about the world around them, encouraging each other to do their best, and asking for ways to further their learning. We are a city school that is mostly attended by students from low-income families, many of which qualify for assistance. As their teacher, I am continuously looking for new ways to bring learning alive and make it as fun as possible!

My Project

These new math games and supplies for activities will continue to enhance our individualized and small group math instruction. Students will be using these materials during our guided math stations. The dry erase fact family boards have addition and subtraction on one side and multiplication and division on the other. These are great for my students because they allow all of them to be successful and practice facts on their level. The game gives them more opportunities to work on their mental math skills that are becoming more and more important.

With the opportunities your donations provide, students will be able to practice every day math skills in new exciting ways.

I will be able to create personalized lessons to meet the needs of my students; this could be a review of past concepts or advancing current topics. After seeing how skills can be practiced, students can then continue to do this at home with their own board games with friends and family.
