My Students
"I grew two levels!" a student exclaimed. Students cannot wait to share their growth with their peers and teachers at our school. Our students attend a zoned school in east Nashville where 100% of students receive free lunch. All students walk or are driven to school, and parents and families are eager to be a part of our community!
My students are full of love!
I cannot wait to see each of their faces in the morning. Every day, we start with literacy centers, go to specials (yoga, gym, music, or math intervention), whole group reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Every day, they grow socially and academically to be their best selves.
My Project
Our students go on the computer for at least 20 minutes each day. During this time they go on programs that are differentiated to their level such as Prodigy, ST Math, and Lexia. The problem is that our headphones break very frequently. Students cannot stay focused or hear the words coming from the computer if their headphones are of low quality. If we have higher quality headphones all students will be able to engage in their programs without being interrupted with technical issues.
We need these headphones so that we do not distract others and we can stay focused on our learning programs.
We use computers mostly during guided reading, which is when everyone grows their brains the most!
