Headphones to HELP With Learning

My students need headphones for math centers and small group reading centers.

My Students

My classroom is filled with students with unique backgrounds. Living and working in a rural agricultural community in the central valley of California brings hardworking families to my classroom each year. These parents are so passionate about giving their children a better life and a strong educational foundation.

My students are so eager to learn and bring their experiences into the classroom.

With as much support as parents can provide, we together build a great educational experience for each student.

My Project

As a third grade teacher, I hear daily, "I do not have headphones, Ms. C." We use technology in our classroom in a variety of ways. We use tech to assess our students and it is quite hard for a student to take a test where they are supposed to listen to a part of test.

I want to provide an environment where all students can succeed.

Some of my families cannot afford the extra expense of headphones. All my student started the year out with earbuds, but now we are almost have way through the school year, and those earbuds no longer work. I will love to have 6 pairs of high-quality headphones in my classroom, so students do not feel ashamed for not having any.
