Help me give my students a class set of durable headphones. Ours are missing and falling apart and we use them for second language students, special ed students, and for things like testing.
So many times over the course of a school year, the students need headphones. We use headphones for kids who struggle with reading. We use them with English Language Learners when they are matching sounds with words. We use them during standardized testing and for watching fun and educational videos to review or introduce a skill.
The school district is so good at supplying everyone with their initial set but, as we all know, things don't last.
We are now down to 6 pairs. I did purchase individual earbuds for my students this year but they will now be theirs to keep obviously.
We have a great new system for storing them and keeping track of them, so with a whole new class set, we will be set up for several years without the frustration and hassle of what we have now.
It really is the tiny things like this that make a huge difference in a classroom.
