This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade class is comprised of 24 highly motivated English language learners. My school is located in South Los Angeles. My school is comprised of African American and Latino students. My students are special because they know that if you come to school every day, then great things happen. Great things are happening in my classroom every day.
The students in my class make great efforts to obtain excellence.
My students set goals for themselves and as a class we celebrate when they reach their goals.
My Project
My second graders will use the headphones during independent workship time. This is a time I teach small group instruction. They will be able to practice their skills without disrupting the students who are not on a computer. Currently, I only have 4 headphones. I need 7 more headphones to complete my computer workstation set.
A focused class means more learning for all.
These headphones will help my students focus during independent work time. I need my whole class focused during independent work time so I can teach small groups. Small group instruction is important because I can focus on specific skills students need.
I know that these headphones will make a difference in my students' learning.
