it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching in a low-income/high-poverty school district provides many challenges. The students in my classroom come from very diverse backgrounds but they have one thing in common...their thirst for learning in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment. They desire an environment that provides ample opportunities for active learning to take place while they are challenged and explore through the use of hands-on activities.
We provide rigorous instruction that enables our children to achieve academic excellence while building the social and emotional skills needed to become well-rounded individuals.
My goal is to offer my students experiences that they would not ordinarily be exposed to. I strive to provide them with hands-on materials that will inspire them to interact, investigate and explore. They love books, technology, and manipulating the environment through their senses. Together we make learning fun and successful.
My Project
My students and I are in need of headphones. Children will be using these headphones both in class and at home, in the event the class needs to move to remote learning.
As we navigate in-person and possible remote instruction, we are learning that headphones are such a great help in successfully carrying out lessons.
The students that don't have headphones can't hear me clearly and hear an echo from time to time. The children's headphones are designed with individual student needs in mind and are child-friendly. Each pair of headphones will give the students the opportunity to safely explore technology.
The Apple Air Pods Pro will help our remote learning run smoother. We tend to hear many background noises and children hear echoing often. These Air Pods will help children hear me clearly as I communicate daily objectives and instructions.
