Headphones, Markers, Erasers, Oh My!

Help me give my students headphones, markers, colored pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, and other needed beginning of the year school supplies.

My Students

My students come from a rural-area school normally of about 530 kids. This year, we will have 250 face-to-face to start. About 60% of our families are considered low income. In my classroom, despite what might be going on at home, kids love to dive into the world of math and science in a hands-on way. When they are not with me, my teammate will come to them to teach them to love reading and social studies. We are certified in both Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education (students with special needs). This means I take care of all kinds of kids with wonderful personalities and different needs.

My students are wonderfully diverse in their learning styles and this diversity is what makes them so special.

Some of them love to learn through listening to enthusiastic demonstrations, some love to use their creativity to write, and others love to get their hands on materials that bring their learning to life. As a classroom and grade level, we embrace and love their differences. I strive to give them the freedom to think outside the box and use their talents to further their learning. At our school, every student leads and succeeds!

My Project

Students will use the headphones in school while reading books online or having assignments read to them. This will especially help my special education students get their accommodations.

Expo Markers and erasers will be used to have lots of fun during math.

We use our whiteboards all the time to stay engaged. Students will use colored pencils to help them color code important information in their math notebooks. Not all students can afford these supplies, so it is a great help when you donate to my project. You will be putting much-needed supplies into the hands of my students.

We are also requesting aprons and ink. The aprons are used to attach to student desks in order to hold our hand sanitizer and wipes. The ink will be used to print out student labels as new students enter the classroom along with other printable activities where color is more helpful for student learning.
