Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from Honduras, Venezuela, Russia, Ukraine, the Dominican Republic, Columbia, Bangladesh, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia – lands far and wide. Some are pushed by the fear of violence, some are pulled in the hopes of seeking a better life for their children.
My students may be from different places, but they all have one thing in common; they are eager to learn English.
We have computers and language learning software.
There is just one problem; we don't have headphones! You can imagine how noisy a small classroom can get when twenty students have their computers' speakers going all at once. Headphones will let the students plug in and learn at their own pace.
