My Students
My students come from a low-income area with most being single parent or grandparent households. Over 70% of students receive free breakfast and lunch as well. These students are eager to learn most days and school is their safe place. They come from a diverse backgrounds and face many difficult challenges in and out of the classroom.Although many of students have a difficult life outside the classroom they are so excited about learning new things every day. They come to school every day eager and ready to learn.
Every student in my class has the ability to achieve greatness.
We have laptops for each student but the headphones are usually provided by parents and most of them stop working after a short while.
The use of headphones in our class will create many opportunities for my students. They will be able to listen to audio books while they read or play math games to help increase their math fluency.
My Project
Students are motivated and feel empowered when they are able to use technology to move at their own pace in the classroom. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Having a set of headphones for each student will be great!
The purpose of each student having their own will help control germs. At the end of each week we will clean each set used. Having headphones will also help with noise control in the classroom. The kids will be able to get on programs that talk to them and not disturb class. Having these headphones will be a great assets to the classroom.
