This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Before you walk into my school, you may see on paper that we are a Title I school with a majority of students receiving free or reduced price lunch.

We've struggled through Hurricane Harvey and Covid-19 and have limited resources for our students.

However, what you will see in person is a dynamic group of young, driven leaders, who through "The Leader in Me" process are making their mark in our world. We are a Lighthouse Leader in Me/Magnet Fine Arts school, which has helped transform all of our students into global thinkers who believe they have a chance in life.

My Project

My students each received a Chromebook to work with while at school. Each child is able to learn through technology and the many programs they have access to everyday.

They will be able to focus on their own online books and tasks without the distraction from other students' computers with these headphones.

My students are all on different levels and independently work on tasks that are specific to their needs. When they need to listen to different books or tutorials, it's difficult for them to concentrate when twenty computers are on different activities. These headphones will allow them to hear exactly what they need.
