Help me give my students headphones for classroom use. My students use an educational platform where they need to hear the computer dictation. This will help them focus on their tasks.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because they live in the Urban Area of Newark NJ. The resources of such a big town and community for school supplies and need are very limited due to the high volume of people in the city and the low income population. My school is in a working class area and parents really want the best for their children. We strive to make that happen but for students to learn they need to be comfortable in the classroom to do that.
My Project
Students will use the headphones for a platform we use called Lexia. Students complete Word Study, Grammar and Comprehension. The computer dictates to the students sentences and even directions on nouns, adjectives, prepositions, etc that students should choose. Its difficult for students to complete these tasks without hearing all the other students program running in the background. Currently students need to put the volume only so they can hear and not distract others but with everyone's program running all at the same time it becomes very difficult for them to get the best out of the program. Please help my students to get the best out of their learning experience.
