I am requesting headphones for the Kenwood Academy Library Media Center so that students can maximize their digital learning when using their Chromebooks and other computers during the day.
Because not all students can afford expensive Beats and Airpods, this will provide many students with a no-cost alternative, so they can watch online tutorials or listen to music while they study.
This will also greatly benefit our diverse learner population, some of whom have sensory overload.
Our student population is diverse and come from a variety of backgrounds. Part of what makes our school so special is the uniqueness that each person brings to our building each day.
Yet, one common need they share is for adequate equipment to ensure they maximize their learning potential. Having headphones readily available will help them do that.
