My Students

I am the most blessed person that I know, namely due to my incredible, loving students. I have the honor of teaching English Language Learning students. The vast majority of my students are Marshallese. These students have such a beautiful culture and kind mindset that it makes each day so much fun.

My students teach me their culture and language, while I get to teach them mathematics and the English language.

Our classroom is one of my favorite places to be!

My Project

The vast majority of my students are English Language Learners. They are absolutely incredible to me because they are taking regular general education courses, all while learning a brand new language. My students work extremely hard to learn the English language and keep their grades up. School can be very difficult for a lot of these students.

My project is designed to help alleviate some of the stress of learning mathematics through the implementation of auditory assistance through headphones.

When a student is given the tools that they need to succeed, they are much more apt to try the difficult work. I would love to supply them with headphones so that they are able to listen to the more complex word problems required in mathematics. With your help, we can create a positive, engaging classroom environment to help all students feel welcome and loved!
