Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of vibrant, diverse, hard working learners. They strive to improve on every aspect of their education. As students on a free breakfast and lunch program, technology is hard to come by. My students love to learn and always try to their best in the classroom. Their curious minds are hungry for more knowledge as they progress through the year. Engaging activities and opportunities help them build upon their skills in and out of the classroom.
My Project
Many students struggle with reading and math skills. In order to effectively use the interventions provided by the school they need headphones. These headphones will allow students to focus on the lessons by listening to prompts and following the instructions.
They will learn phonemic awareness and work on phonics skills by listening to the program narrator.
The interventions are individualized and on the computer. These headphones will make it possible for each student to work on his/her level without being distracted. Students will also use these headphones to improve upon their math skills and allow them to work at their own pace.
