My Students
My 26 kindergarten students come from an urban neighborhood in a high poverty area. They attend a K-8 public school.
Despite certain disadvantages, they come to school every day excited and ready to learn.
They have various abilities and I want all of my students to be the best they can be. I am trying to make it fun and educational for them so they can get the most out of their schooling. I create a caring environment for the students! They deserve the best and I try my best to provide that.
My Project
In our classroom we use the tablets, Chromebooks, and computers daily for math and literacy. Currently, we do not have headphones for the computers, Chromebooks, and tablets, which can get noisy at times. Technology has become an integral part of student learning.
For this reason, we are asking for quality headphones to help us stay focused while we learn with technology!
In order for my kindergarteners to be able to access this technology, they need to be able to hear! A classroom full of social and excited kindergarteners can get noisy. When you add in computers and iPads reading aloud to students, it can become too distracting for any learning to occur.
