My students need headphones so they can actively use the Lexia and Math Computer Interventions in the classroom without interrupting the rest of the class.

My Students
I am a second-year fourth grade teacher at an elementary school in Philadelphia. My class is comprised of 25 amazing students. I teach math and science and rotate with another fourth-grade class of 25 students including many ESOL and special education children. The majority of the students at my school receive free or reduced lunch. Many students come from very difficult home situations and are unable to purchase necessary school supplies to make learning effective. Your help is greatly appreciated!!
My Project
With new and functional headphones, students will be able to use Lexia and FirstInMath Intervention programs on the computers in the classroom in order improve reading and math skills without interrupting the rest of the class. These programs provide differentiated learning for students behind or above grade level.
Additionally, students often show up without pencils or with broken pencils and are unable to complete classwork and homework because they don't have the required tools.
A simple donation to buy pencils and scissors will make a huge difference so students are prepared and have the tools they need to learn.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
