My Students
Where I work with students, the students are eager to learn but have restrictions to further their learning at home due to the poverty rate. Students comes to school needing to strengthen their basic social, emotional, and academic skills. A big challenge that we face as educators is meeting the students where they are and producing the most that we can with the time we have together. Parents are willing to help students with their growth and learning, helping them to succeed and be a learner for a life time.
Everyday, I am thankful for the opportunity to teach these amazing students.
My Project
Our district has adapted to a curriculum that can easily transition to online learning or in-person learning. Currently, we are in-person learning however, our students are continuing with asynchronous work which require them to use headphones to complete work that is on the computer. Headphones will help with their focus and help to cancel distractions around them.
This will grant higher success with their learning and focus with the curriculum that we are currently learning.
This will help to benefit the growth and success in their 2nd grade school year.
