My Students

My students are wonderful children! Our school is in an urban area and most students qualify for free lunch. They come from many different home situations that are sometimes difficult for them and can cause challenges in the school setting.

My students are eager to learn despite their circumstances and inspiring when they choose to overcome and excel.

My students are special and deserve the best that I can get for them in order to help them meet their goals.

My Project

We are fortunate to have iPads in our classroom that are provided by our district. Unfortunately, they do not provide headphones. It's often very distracting to have the whole class using iPads but not everyone has a set of working headphones. The noise level often makes it difficult for students to focus on their individual tasks. Having a pair of dedicated headphones will help each student be able to focus on their own work and therefore increase their learning. When they are able to completely dedicate all of their attention to the work and not be distracted by others, they can concentrate on what they need to be working on.
