This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second grade students attend an inner-city elementary school in Los Angeles. They have been severely affected by the 15 months of virtual learning and have lost valuable instruction. Some did not have adequate support, and others were not able to fully participate or thrive during this mode of learning.
This year, during our small group time, students work independently on programs that help support students in this lost learning in both language arts and math.
The headphones will allow students to have increased focus during this part of the learning day.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
