This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my dual-language K/1st classroom will be given an iPad to use in the classroom. The applications that students will be using provide additional opportunities to reinforce the language skills learned in the classroom. By providing students with their own headsets with microphones, students will be able to progress and practice their second language at their own pace by recording themselves speaking in their second language and listening to themselves speak. Since students will be using iPads as learning tools, it is important that they are all charged and ready to use the next day which is why it is important that each iPad has a charger.
The use of technology in the classroom fosters student engagement for auditory and visual learners.
