I have over 300 students that I work with. Most of my students are about 2 grade levels below their grade level in reading. Having headphones allows them to read and learn as they see the text. They can both see and hear the text.
Some students come with headphones, but most don't.
This puts the kids that do not have headphones at a disadvantage. We are a one-to-one school with technology. Each student is provided their own computer and the majority of their work is computer based. Having their own headphones will help them in all areas.
