This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten classroom is full of noise and excitement. The excitement and energy in K2 is indescribable. My kindergarten students are happy, inquisitive, thoughtful and eager to learn. For many of my students this is their first year in an educational setting. We spend a lot of time working on listening, following directions, sharing, taking turns and many others in addition to academics.

My kiddies are a very diverse bunch, some with a very supportive home life, and some with the opposite.

Our school year has gotten off to an incredible start. So far we have settled into our classroom routines and expectations.

My kindergarteners are some of the sweetest and hard working children who give me the greatest inspiration as a teacher. Everyday they come to school happy, excited and ready to learn. My students have gained such a love for learning through hands-on activities everyday in our classroom.

We know that accidents happen in Kindergarten. My classroom was graciously gifted headphones through DonorsChoose 2 years ago. However, they have been well loved and need to be replaced. We use these headphones with our school Chromebooks throughout the school day for online assessment, whole group and small group activities.
