My Students
My fifth graders are inquisitive, full of energy and they have an eagerness to learn that is unmatched! It is a pleasure to walk into my classroom every day because I know my students will give their all to achieve their goals. Their excitement for learning keeps me going each and every day.
I have the great pleasure of having a very diverse population of students in my classroom, each very unique in learning style and academic capabilities.
New York City is home to a diverse culture and a wide range of socioeconomic statuses, which are seen throughout the city and in each one of the classrooms. We have a high percentage of students who receive free or reduced-price lunches.
My Project
Our school is starting rehearsals for our very first show since the pandemic. We need headphones for the students to listen to the music and learn the lines of all the songs. We need a document camera for many things. One important reason we need it is that using a document camera will allow us to display the lines of the play when we want to go over certain scenes. This document camera will also be used for my students to stay engaged throughout lessons, read articles, or to view pages from books. They will be able to follow along without getting lost, and be able to show others how they came up with a certain answer, whether its math, reading or writing.
These items will help them grow in their knowledge and enjoyment of learning and the arts for years to come!
