This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 25 enthusiastic students this school year. They are an inquisitive group of 8- and 9-year-olds with varied interests from technology to animals. They are always eager to learn new things. Our school is the heart of their neighborhood.

Some of my students come from challenging home environments.

When they come to school, I want them to have the freedom to be kids and learn new things that will benefit their future. From their experience at an early age, many of the students have learned how to be responsible problem solvers. They deserve to have an excellent education in the best environment possible.

My Project

We've gotten off to a GREAT start with transitioning from at-home learning back into the classroom. I have half of my class, and soon the whole class will be here! The students are so excited to see me in person, and I'm definitely feeling the love!

The students were asked to bring their own headphones, but most of the students didn't own any to bring.

Your donation will assist me in having earphones to use when I'm simultaneously teaching virtually and in-person so that the students can hear the videos and prevent echoing in the live sessions!

There are so many computers in the classroom being used throughout the day. The power strips with multiple plugs will help us charge up quickly at once instead of using our time playing musical chairs by the outlets.
