My Students

My students are growing up in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. They are as diverse as these hills! Some of them are growing up in one of the most affluent neighborhoods. Others are living in one of the most economically struggling neighborhoods in the county.

All kids want to have fun while learning!

My students love to explore and learn together. No matter their difference, they have that in common. They love to problem solve. They love a good story. They love to work together to learn.

My Project

Students are supposed to come to school with headphones. It is on their supply list. Many of the assessments that we give are digital and require headphones. Some struggling readers use them to listen to audio books. In other words, it is really important for the kids to have headphones.

However, finances are difficult for many families right now and quite a few students come to school without this important item.

I would like to be able to take this item off of my supply list and provide these for my students.
