This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and very curious. They enjoy school and learning using all their senses. They are all learning English as a second language. My students attend school in the innercity. The school is nestled among railroad tracks and factories. All of my students qualify for federally funded lunches. They have insufficient resources yet are the most generous.
My students are thirsty for knowledge.
They love to feel like scientists. They're fascinated with the life cycle of animals and plants. They are always ready to learn, and despite their short comings they always try their very best.
My Project
An iPad Pro will give my students endless opportunities to explore coding, graphic art, and digital animation. An iPad Pro will allow students to create their own animated short films combing their love of drawing and technology.
An iPad Pro will also allow my second graders to practice writing their own code through the program Scratch Jr.
Students love to draw and technology and I believe that an iPad Pro is the best way to marry both of their interest. Our school prides itself in fostering a well-rounded STEAM education and an iPad Pro will enable students to demonstrate their talents in a multitude of ways.
