I am a band director that teaches grades 6-12 in a low economic, rural setting. My students are hardworking, but are without the necessary resources to enhance their music education.
Our students work very diligently to be a competitive marching band in our area despite numerous budget cuts and much needed instrument repairs. Overcoming obstacles has been something my students do regularly with determination and great success.
We need 1 14" marching snare drum head and 1 set of marching tenor drum heads so that my drumline will continue to sound great and receive high marks at competitions. My students will be able to show off their skill with great sound and technique if we receive these new heads.
Through your efforts, my students will be afforded the opportunity to receive high ratings and great applause at football games, parades and band competitions. Please consider funding our proposal for HEADing in the right direction. Thank you!!
