This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in an urban district, with every child receiving free lunch due to high poverty. Our school is in jeopardy of being taken over by the state. With a huge financial deficit, it makes it impossible to buy supplies directly through our school system.
Many of my kids have learning disabilities and benefit from hands-on activities at different levels, allowing me to differentiate their classwork.
These children deserve the very best to overcome the poverty cycle and allow them to be college-bound!
My Project
These headphones will help my students in the classroom to work on their SBAC testing, NGSS standards, activities, projects, videos in the scientific field, music for meditation during our 5 minute relax time and many other ways. With the use of computers in the classroom, students have to have headphones to complete activities for school. There are many science activities that the kids can do using headphones while working quietly on their own. Also during free time the student can use the headphones to listen to meditation music to relax and get ready for the day ahead of them. Let's do this!
