Help me give my students materials that will help to make our classroom environment run smoothly like a tablet charging tech tub, pocket charts and paper sorters.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 28 boys and girls in the heart of the Bronx. Many of my students are English language learners and children with special needs. All of which qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. My school is a Title I school. This means that my students are at risk of failure and live at or near poverty.
Despite these challenges, my students walk into my classroom eager to learn and a determination to tackle the odds stacked against them.
My Project
This past school year was a challenging one due to the pandemic. I had no clue that March 19th would be my last day in the classroom. A lot of the supplies that were left in the classroom were not easily recovered so this project will help to replenish supplies and resources that will ensure that our back to school transition is a seamless and organized one.
An organized classroom environment where the mood is calm and supplies are easily accessible is just what my students will need when they return to school.
Classroom organization like pocket charts, paper sorters and a tech tub to keep our tablets charged will increase focus in my students, so that optimal learning can occur every day!
