My Students
I am a physical education teacher at a college prep middle school, whose mission is to prepare students with the academic skills and character traits necessary to thrive in college and in life. My class allows scholars the opportunity to engage in physical activities so that they can return to the academic setting refreshed and ready to focus. During class, my students are able to acquire new skills, try new sports, and discover that physical activity is fun. I have the privilege of educating over 400, 5th-8th grade scholars who come from educationally under-served communities in and around St. Louis, Missouri. My students love to be active and deserve access to a high-quality physical education experience.
My Project
Our students are getting interested and excited about the thought of playing floor hockey during PE class. Unfortunately, when they don't get to see nice goals at the end of the court, it takes some of the wind out of their sails and they don't have that extra excitement.
These goals will help give our students more energy and excitement to play floor hockey when they get to shoot the puck into a brand new goal!
