My students need funding to pay for a field trip to attend a showing of "He Named me Malala." The Migrant students are participating in a leadership club called THRIVE.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Hult's classroom raised $7,630
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our THRIVE club is full of spirit, engaging students in leadership activities that build bridges between different cultural groups.
The club consists of migrant students who have moved to Omaha within the last three years, and they are learning English while working toward graduation.
They attend a weekly club meeting, complete service projects, and learn about helping their community. We utilize the Habitudes curriculum, which is about leadership qualities.
My Project
The students will participate in a field trip to the local nonprofit theater to see the inspiring film "He Named me Malala." This funding will pay for the theater admission and the bus tickets. Students will attend from give different high schools.
Our students will be inspired by the story of Malala, who was a leader in her community.
Our students are striving to be leaders and working toward improving their community with service projects, cultural events, and servant leadership.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
