Help me give my students a great recess time! We need recess equipment during our lunch! Recess is a great way for students to release their fears, worries and concerns.
HELLLLLPPPP!!! I work in a Title 1 school, low income area. This year I am back in the building as lunchroom coorndinator which also means do recess.
Recess is so important for my students.
We have PlayWorks, and a great coach! However, we have no recess equipment. Our mission is to create an organized playtime using stations. By having a organized recess you decrease bullying and increase kids learning to play together and safely.
Our playground has been remodeled to a beautiful playground, The kids love it! When the kids come out to play they are full of smiles, laughter and joy. It is as if the "pandemic" doesn't exists. Recess is the time the need to be free, run amd just be a kid! Recess is "their" time!
My Project
My students will be able to utilize all equipment for recess! Unfortunately, the equipment had to stay in school. However, all students, from grades K-5, will be able play at recess in the playground.
Recess is an important of school.
Having equipment is even more important because it prevents bullying and encourages students to play together. It promotes socialization skills, as well as learning how to make friends.
Our school needs equipment so the students can have an awesome lunch experience. Nothing brings more joy to kids than playing, especially with equipment!
