Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help us stay active while learning about art. My students, like so many children of today need more exercise!
Our students spend long days cooped up in mostly windowless classrooms.
Many classes have no scheduled recess because teachers are concerned that they won't have enough time to cover all of the curriculum. I make it my goal to help keep our kids active in whatever way I can.
My Project
I take my students out for active art games and reward recesses as often as possible. The balls we are asking for will be used to teach color theory through active play. We are also requesting building and pattern blocks which we will use to explore architecture, patterns and tessellations. As a kinder through 5th grade art teacher, I serve 22 classes, totaling over 400 students. So, you can see that your donation will help many children. With these supplies, we expect to keep our students active for years to come.
Exercise and Art are important to a child's development.
Studies show that both have a positive impact on learning and emotional well being. We thank you in advance for your marvelous generosity. We love our donors.
