Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"WORK HARD! PLAY HARD!" This is the motto our students live by!
Despite so many hardships, our students are still eager to come to school to learn and do their very best.
Because of the high poverty in our area, 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch at school. They work hard in the classrooms, and play hard on the field during recess and P.E.!
When an opportunity presents itself like joining the choir, entering a talent show or competing in sports contests nearly every student signs up. They strive to "belong" and are motivated to "give it their all"!
My Project
Using giant Omnikin lightweight balls in Physical Education is a superb way to help students develop their physical, cooperative, social and intellectual skills.
The sheer size of these balls reinforces strategic planning, teamwork, and helping students build and refine critical skills as they work together to accomplish victory!
Passing the ball from player to player or creating a unified strategy requires coordination and cooperation in team games, which would make these extremely lightweight balls a versatile addition to our Physical Education program.
Students will love the fast-paced indoor and outdoor games that they can play with these innovative, heavy-duty (yet extremely lightweight) cage balls.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
