This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Think about coming into a kindergarten classroom with students who have varied ethnic backgrounds and whose primary language is not English. These students often need extra support for learning English but always manage to come to school with the biggest smiles on their faces. Every day, I teach my students the English language, as well as reading, writing, and math concepts.
I am excited to learn different innovative ways to teach my students.
I immerse the children in the English language and help them become successful. My school prides itself on being able to bring students together for creative endeavors.
My Project
I can't wait to begin my journey to Get Your Teach On in Orlando this coming summer! My excitement is building and I still have a few months before attending this monumental experience. This is something I have been eagerly awaiting to attend for years. The problem was that the dates NEVER worked out. This year the event finally takes place just 2 days after NYC schools close for summer and I cannot wait to attend the Get Your Teach On National Conference. I know of so many teachers who have attended and they have shared that it has changed the way they teach. I want to learn as well but also strengthen my teaching skills and grow professionally but I need your help. I am looking for assistance to pay for travel and hotel fees to attend this event. The funding of this project will cover some but not all of the lodging and travel fees for this event.
The Get Your Teach On conference will empower me to further develop my skills, become more successful as an educator and equip me with the necessary tools to engage my students.
Just imagine what I can learn in a room filled with effective ideas while collaborating with peers from around the world. I will spend 4 days training with some of today's top educators. Learning new ways, tips and tricks for teaching the children of our future is my passion. These children are OUR future. Please help me make a bigger difference!
