Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Unfortunately, my school district lacks the funds to provide a laptop for each student I work with. They are so eager to learn and are non-native speakers (ESOL - first-level English language learners). They need the additional support provided by the immediate translation provided via technology on these laptops. Our new financial literacy course has a large student population that qualifies for free and reduced lunch, which shows you that their families may not be able to afford laptops. If this project is funded, I will reuse the laptops each year with every new cohort of students! Thank you SO much!
