Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Title I school that doesn't receive funding, we have to be very careful about where we spend the money that we have. Of course, we budget educational resources like books and supplies but often times more expensive items have to be cut from our lists.

We have a fantastic group of kiddos from diverse, loving families that are interested in their child's education.

These kids deserve to have a classroom equal to any other students, and will utilize this addition daily! The kids say it best, and just today, a little girl walked into our classroom for the first time and gasped, "This is the class of my dreams!" Help me make more of their dreams a reality as we further support them in their learning space.

My Project

Kindergarteners are learning how to be fantastic students but need lots of opportunities to practice good learning skills. They utilize many areas of the room and transition throughout numerous activities throughout the day.

A classroom rug gives us boundaries during co-operative learning activities, somewhere to sit with defined personal spaces during group discussions, and is an inviting place to curl up with a good book!

It is also a colorful, educational addition to our classroom decor and can be referenced as we learn our letters. We would utilize this classroom rug many times throughout our day in many different situations!
