My students need 10 Math resources, including a Guess My Number! Pocket Chart Kit, Take It to Your Seat Math Centers, a Fraction of the Pizza Game and a set of Math Start Stories.

I am a first/second grade teacher. I teach at a urban school that has about 50% of the student population receiving free/reduced lunch. Last year my school became a regionally gifted school. Although this is great for my school, it has created a feeling of "they are worth more than our neighborhood class". The gifted classrooms receive a lot of funding for furniture, supplies, and classroom materials. Where our neighborhood classrooms receive hand me downs.

Since I began teaching a split class, supplies have become limited. My first and second grade students have to share what we have, which is not a lot. Due to the lack of supplies my students spend a lot of time observing instead of doing!

In order for my students to start doing more and observing less, they are in need of more manipulatives to provide more independent learning and exploration. Since so many students learn at different paces and through different mediums, it is important to have a wide range of manipulatives to target each students' level.

Your help will ensure that my students are having a blast while learning math by doing more and observing less. They will get that opportunity to learn independently at their own pace by using a variety of manipulatives.
