My Students
My school has the greatest students a teacher could ask for. I'm sure all teachers would say that on here, but I really, truly mean it. They are not the easiest bunch to get along with and they take a long time to warm up to their teachers because they're so used to teachers quitting on them. My school may be disadvantaged in many ways, but when you truly care, the students will move mountains for you. I love every one of my students and they know my investment and dedication to them is sincere. In return, I know that they will work their hardest in my classes! And because of this, I always want the best for my students!
My Project
This project isn't for only one classroom, but for the entire English department at NFHS. Hurricane Harvey has had a devastating effect on schools across Houston and many of our supplies have been flooded or destroyed. This project is an attempt to provide the students with the best learning environment despite the struggles they're dealing with at the moment. I've included paper so that we don't run out between the 8 teachers. I've also included dictionaries and white boards for our ESL classroom. Posters and books are to keep the classrooms print rich and vibrant. These items will go a long way in bringing our rooms back to their colorful selves before the hurricane and to keep us stocked up with the resources and materials we need to provide our students with the best opportunity to learn!
