My Project
After the Covid-19 lockdown in NYC, our school is still recovering and getting back on our feet. Our library became a staging area for electronic devices and other gatherings, but little in the way of being a library for student use. And though it worked to support our students during lockdown, the library is transitioning back to a space where students can exercise their intellectual freedom.
But now we're making the bold choice to reimagine and reinvest in our library!
And we need these scanners to automate and manage our collection. These scanners will mean we can more quickly and efficiently, check-out, check-in, and inventory this collection. Students will benefit from these scanners because they'll allow the library to scan barcodes as opposed to entering barcode numbers to check-out books.
The students at our school have a curiosity and desire to learn! And access to a library program that supports that curiosity is something my students deserve!
