My students need to be able to understand how to build their phonemic awareness in order to read. They need a rhyming words center, soft word puzzles, and a beginning sound center.
My students are special in their own way because they bring a light into the classroom that brightens the lives of not only myself but their peers as well. My students come from different cultures and ethnicities. I try to teach the value of respect and how to be a team no matter the background. These students come from urban areas that had LED in the water, being with these students you can see how the water can affect their minds depending on their circumstance and hardships.
EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION OF LIFE!
I want to be able to help push these students to the next level. I want to be able to give them opportunities they have not seen and teach them important values that will guide them to being successful even at an early age. The culture in the school is great! Students want to come to school and love learning! I want to be able to keep that mindset and help them be future leaders of tomorrow.
My Project
The rhyming words center will help understand worlds hat have the same ending sound. The soft word puzzles will help them build how to create words to help with reading. The beginning sound center will help scholars understand how to see what beginning sounds are. The letter recognition will help students build their knowledge of letters and sounds because my students are struggling with that. For my high students they are eager to build words to start their sight word lists to be successful in the classroom and their reading. These materials will be great for the kindergarten classroom.
