My students need 27 yoga balls to sit on and 5 pumps to keep them inflated. These yoga balls will help them be able to focus better and learn more.

My Students
Do you remember in school sitting on those hard chairs trying to pay attention to your teacher? Imagine a classroom where everyone, including the teacher, has a yoga ball to sit on. These balls help improve stability, focus, attention and they allow the student to "bounce" all day long.
We are a third grade class in rural Utah.
We are a Title I school located near the Ute Native American Reservation. Our school is about thirty minutes away from a city. We are full of energy and would love to be able to sit on yoga balls while we learn and work. We work hard every day to learn all that we can.
My Project
We will have no chairs in our class. Everyone, including the teacher, will have their own yoga ball to sit on. These balls will help the students focus better, especially those that have a harder time. There is research supporting the use of yoga balls with students with ADHD or focusing problems. Our goal, as a class, is to learn more and do our very best.
I have many students in my classroom that struggle.
They have a hard time sitting still or focusing on the task at hand. I have been doing research about how to help these students and I have found a lot of research with yoga balls. I truly believe that by using yoga balls instead of chairs, I will be able to reach those students who have a hard time of being reached.
