And we're off on a new adventure! Not only will this year bring me a new school, but a new grade level, and a new experience in teaching online virtually! While I haven't met my kiddos yet, my experience with kindergarteners has taught me that they are always full of energy and excitement to learn!
I can't wait to begin working with a new group of little leaders who are ready to take on the world one letter, one word, and one number at a time!
My Project
The time has come! Last week the District unveiled their plan for students to begin their hybrid learning! Your faithfulness has paid off deeply as students have been able to engage so meaningfully using their at-home resources! It truly has been amazing watching students use their writing folders to write words in their writing and label their pictures. I seriously cannot tell you how proud I am of them, as well as their families for supporting them through it all.
As of now, the plan is for students to return to the classroom two days a week, while remaining at home and participating in learning for the other three.
This means that students will need the same resources at home and in the classroom. In a typical classroom environment, students wouldn't need the materials at home or would be able to share. However, with this virus, sharing is definitely not an option and taking materials back and forth is such an easy way for them to get lost. This project will help students to be able to have one writing journal and writing folder at home, in addition to one journal and one writing folder in the classroom. Learning will be able to continue with consistency regardless of the environment!
