This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a dynamic group of kids who are always looking for ways to learn new things about technology. They come to the classroom filled with humor and laughter and creative minds. More than a positive attitude, thirst for learning, these kids come to my classroom with empty stomachs and excessive troubles brought about by homelessness and other social issues. They often ask if I have food or water to give them because they are feeling hungry and have not had a descent meal.
My Project
My students will benefit greatly from having a variety of snacks like veggie straws, M&M candies, bottled water, Honey Stinger organic waffles, and Horizon organic chocolate milk because it will provide them with much needed energy while at school, in the classroom. They will also be able to bring some of the snacks home to share with friends and family members. Getting them these snacks will definitely get the students started with the right amount of energy in the classroom and will increase their motivation to come to class on time and to also do their best while they are doing their classwork.
