My students are special because they are diverse learners who want to experience a fun and engaging education. They attend a community school where students live in close proximity. Our school is an early childhood center, located in an inner city neighborhood. We are a Title I school where students receive free and reduced lunches. Many students are new to the country and have to adapt to the English language and American culture. "Relationships cannot grow without the proper communication."
My Project
The materials requested will be used by very diverse learners. The headphones will be used to assist students in hearing stories on their i pads. Through our reading program, students have the opportunity to listen to the story of the week. Also, the easel will help support our visual learners and will be used in small group areas. The multicultural kit will be used at the beginning of the school year to help students express their cultures and allow others to learn more about them. These will be displayed in our hallway as a way to welcome students to the New School Year!
