This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 3rd-5th graders. My students have adapted to the challenges thrown at them these past few years and are not only surviving but thriving in this very different environment. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in maker space activities and STEM challenges, and are very curious. There are over 1,400 students in our school. I have a large population of English language learners. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. My students are both general and special education students. They are all amazing kids.

This project will spread positivity throughout our whole school community.

Students will be able to act as service stars and give to others by spreading cheer with the decorations, headbands, and necklaces. We are requesting holiday books to add to our collection...older students will be guest readers for younger students too! The takis, hot chocolate, and candy canes will allow students to take a minute and be rewarded with a delicious treat after working so hard..this will help motivate them through the last few weeks of school before winter break when it is extra hard to focus.
