Help me give my students the opportunity to make holiday crafts and foam picture ornaments with a personal portrait of the child to send home to parents.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a wonderfully diverse group of learners that sometimes come from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a new teacher, I want to give them a wonderful classroom experience by providing them with tools, resources, and a fun classroom environment to enhance their learning. Additionally, I want to make the classroom environment fun and engaging for them, so I want to make sure the room is bright, beautiful, and has various visual elements that appeal to their learning.
My Project
Please help to send my students off for the winter break with the experience of making their own holiday ornaments, foam picture frames, with a portrait of the student in front of a snowy backdrop as a gift for their family. I want to help the kids to have a wonderful winter break and bring joy into their home. The students will first use wooden ornaments in various shapes that they will paint, glitter glue, and use twine to display. Then they will cut a square of foam for a picture frame. The teacher will take a portrait of the child in front a snowy backdrop and send a printed version of the photo home with them. Let's brighten up the holiday break for 32 students!
