My students are hardworking, determined, and excited for every day! We are a small Title I school in rural East Texas. My students love school, and for some school is their sanctuary . My goal is to not only help my students succeed in school, but be happy and healthy while doing it.
I have students from kindergarten up to third grade that I help with reading, writing, and math!
The kids who come to my classroom often need a change in location, a chance to learn at their own pace, and some extra help and encouragement!
My Project
My students are Pre-K through 3rd graders who need extra help with reading and math skills. I am BIG on goal setting! My students and I reflect together on skills and reading levels that are a struggle for them! We set individual goals. We monitor progress weekly and assess their growth. I believe that this is a life skill and a self-esteem builder for each child.
I am hoping to reward with a drink and a snack as each child meets their goal.
My students are always hungry and love to be rewarded for their hard work and meeting goals!
I also added a few supplies to ensure their space is clean and sanitary since I have groups of kids from all grades and classes! Disinfectant spray, wipes and masks will help keep my students healthy and safe!
